Day trip
Private visit to the Dinglinger villa and vineyard with tasting
The vineyard of Johann Melchior Dinglinger, court jeweller to Augustus the Strong, can still be found on the picturesque Elbe slope today – or rather: can be found again. Notary Dr Hollenders and his wife have brought this extraordinary testimony to bourgeois baroque lifestyle back to life – with the vineyard, its characteristic belvedere, baroque garden and imposing country house with baroque banqueting hall. Wines from the famous goldsmith’s vineyard have also been available again since 2002 – and they are a real rarity.
The Hollenders family invites you to visit this unique place, which is otherwise not open to the public, and to taste the elegant wines.
Your excursion is rounded off with a 2-course dinner at „elements DELI“, the charmingly casual offshoot of Stephan Mießner’s Michelin-starred restaurant (drinks not included).

Day trip
Visit to the Radeberg brewery with guided tour
Experience the beer that won over chancellors and kings, that is appreciated in the world’s metropolises and is still only brewed in Radeberg. The brewery founders did not simply want to copy the beer from Bohemian Pilsen. They wanted to perfect it with the aim of brewing the best Pilsner of its time. The master brewers still live up to this claim today. Take a look over their shoulders on a guided tour of the brewery and learn all about the fine art of brewing. Of course you can also taste the beer.
On the way back we stop at the Deutsche Werkstätten Hellerau, an architectural jewel in the Art Nouveau style, and enjoy a 2-course dinner (drinks not included) in the restaurant „Schmidt’s“.

Sophisticated fish dishes are his speciality, his claim is the imaginative composition of seasonal and regional ingredients of the best quality. Kastenmeier lives by the motto that you can’t be half a chef – you can only be 100 per cent. He devotes his entire passion to gastronomy and does so with a very special personal touch.
In addition to fish, the spectrum of his cookery also covers the whole range from newly interpreted classics to light vegetarian cuisine. On this evening you have the choice: fish, meat or vegetarian – whatever you prefer.

Enthronement by Yam Atallah, President of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs
followed by Vin d’Honneur
Albrechtsberg Castle
We are particularly pleased about the visit of our President of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs Yam Attalah. It is a special honour that the enthronement ceremony will be performed by him personally.
Albrechtsberg Castle is one of the three Elbe castles on the right bank of the Elbe. It was built until 1854 by Adolf Lohse, a pupil of Schinkel, for Prince Albrecht of Prussia. So it is (unfortunately) not so Saxon. The palace in late classicist style is an impressive example of 19th century architecture. In 1925, the city of Dresden bought the palace and grounds and opened it up to the city’s citizens. Fortunately, the Elbe castles were spared from the devastating bombing raids on Dresden in February 1945. In 1951, the palace became a pioneer palace modelled on the Soviet model and was used by children and young people until 1990. Today, the palace is used for concerts, weddings, conferences and receptions and is constantly being carefully restored.
The Crown Hall with its rich decorations is the largest hall in the palace. It provides the glamorous setting for the ceremonial enthronement. Afterwards, the Vin d’Honneur takes place on the lower floor. Enjoy a glass of the best Saxon sparkling wine with a breathtaking view of the Elbe and the city from the spacious south-facing terrace. The garden and billiard room offer space to enjoy small delicacies, linger and chat. Look forward to a delicious catering by our member house Bülow-Palais Dresden with sparkling wines and wines from our Vice Echanson Prinz zur Lippe, Schloss Proschwitz.

Devotion with organ music
Frauenkirche Dresden
Before the gala dinner, the Frauenkirche Dresden is organising a prayer service with organ music for us on the occasion of the 100th Grand Chapitre d’Allemagne of the Chaîne des Rôtisseurs. The seats in the nave with the best view of the baroque splendour of the church are reserved exclusively for us.
Between 1726 and 1743, George Bähr’s famous domed building, which characterised the cityscape of Dresden for two hundred years, was built in the Baroque style on the site where various predecessor churches had already been dedicated to Mary, the Mother of God, and bore the name Frauenkirche. On 13 February 1945, the war that had started in Germany fell back on Dresden. The Frauenkirche survived the bombing, but collapsed two days later, burnt out. Its ruins characterised the cityscape as a memorial until 1993, when the unique reconstruction project financed by donations began, which received support from Germany and abroad and became a symbol of the coexistence of East and West Germany, the reconciliation of peoples and European unification. Since its reopening in 2005, the Frauenkirche has been a symbol of reconciliation, peace and hope.
With this symbolism, the Frauenkirche also stands for our Grand Chapitre in a time of global conflict. Since time immemorial, eating has been an act of communion, where people come together to nourish and enjoy each other. At this moment, there is no place for war or conflict. Instead, we share the meal, laugh together and create an atmosphere of peace and friendship. The Chaîne connects people across national borders, religions and political views.
In the Frauenkirche, we will celebrate with an open congregation, in which all are welcome, with organ music, psalm prayers and spiritual words. On the closing evening of the 100th Grand Chapitre d’Allemagne, we want to pause for a moment, be grateful for the gifts on our richly laid tables, which are not to be taken for granted, and for the friendship that binds us together.

Grand Gala Dîner
Taschenbergpalais Kempinski Dresden
Elector Frederick Augustus I of Saxony, also known as Augustus the Strong, had the Taschenberg Palace built from 1705 as a residence for his mistress, Anna Constantia Countess von Cosel. It was almost completely destroyed during the Second World War, but was extensively rebuilt from 1992 and opened as a hotel in 1995. Today, baroque splendour is combined with modern design in the historic centre of Dresden.
In the basement of the Taschenbergpalais, the Kurfürstensaal with its modern ambience, daylight ceiling and computer-controlled lighting technology provides the atmospheric setting for the Grand Gala Dîner to mark the 100th Grand Chapitre d’Allemagne. Four of Dresden’s best chefs will create a festive five-course menu on this evening: Andreas Gräser (Das Palais im Taschenbergpalais), Gerd Kastenmeier (Kastenmeiers im Taschenbergpalais), Sven Vogel (Caroussel Nouvelle im Bülow Palais) and Mario Pattis (Feine Kost & e-VITRUM).
Augustus the Strong was a gourmet through and through, enjoying lavish parties and sumptuous meals. He would not have missed out on a dinner like ours. So don’t be surprised if you come across his ghost or that of his mistress Countess Cosel somewhere.
Look forward to a stylish evening in the historic heart of Dresden, a firework display of flavours and a relaxed finale with hearty snacks and fresh beer Radeberger Pilsner.
